Follow these steps:

1. Go to your desktop by clicking on it
2. Right click on the 'My Computer' icon and choose the bottom item: Properties
3. On the 'General' tab (which is the default first tab you see) you should see
   System: "System type"
   For example System: Microsoft Windows XP or
   System: Home Edition

So, select this operating system from the dropdown.

This refers to the amount of RAM rather than hard disc space your computer has.

Follow these steps:

1. Go to your desktop by clicking on it
2. Right click on the 'My Computer' icon and choose the bottom item: Properties
3. On the 'General' tab (which is the default first tab you see) you should see underneath the system and registration details, some details which will look something like:
   1.00 GB of RAM
   It is this figure we need to know.

So, select this amount of RAM from the dropdown.
